Highlights from visit to Première Vision Paris!

Digital Weaving Norway made a quick trip to Première Vision Paris on September 17, 2019, to check out all that’s buzzing in the textile circuit and we came back with many a new impressions, inspirations and ideas! And in the stands we visited and the talks we attended, it was clear that the textile industry is slowly but earnestly trying to steer its course towards being “responsible”.

Up cycling, green/clean fashion, eco-design, circular economy were the buzzwords and the brands that have a story to tell about sustainability are the ones leading the way! Below are a few snapshots from our visit…

Sports fashion wear is apparently “not a fad but a durable shift” and with Nike and Adidas sitting pretty at the top in terms of revenue is an affirmation!

We also caught up with two of our customers who were exhibiting their creations at PV:

And awards were handed out to the most bold and beautiful designs and the walls were circled with design jobs 🙂 (Hard to zoom in here!)

But it wasn’t all work and no play – look who we met in the fashion alleys and an interesting poster we encountered on our way to answering the nature’s call. Yes, it was right there, on the door – they sure know how to catch you when you least expect it! 🙂

And a little tip for all you fiber artists: Check out the Première Vision Marketplace platform. You need to register for the exhibition and gives you access to a world of buyers out there who could possibly be interested in your designs. Also, a good place to see what’s trending and what the others in the segment are creating!
